CISD Multipurpose Event Center Update (English/Spanish)

May 14, 2021 - To the Taxpayers and Citizens of the Center Independent School District: 

We want to take this opportunity to inform you that the Center ISD Board of Trustees and Administration have agreed not to build the Multi-Purpose Event Center that encompassed the largest element of our extra-curricular improvements portion of the 2018 Bond Election. This decision was not an easy one to make and has only resulted after extensive internal discussions, and meetings with the architects and the construction company. 

Center ISD Accepting Transfer Applications, Deadline May 27

May 11, 2021 - Center ISD is now accepting applications for transfer students in grades K-12 for the 2021-2022 school year.  

A transfer application may be obtained from the District’s website at www.centerisd.org, by clicking here, or calling 936-598-5642.

The deadline is Thursday, May 27 at 4:00 p.m. No transfer applications will be accepted after Thursday, May 27.

2021 Center Roughrider Athletic Banquet

May 3, 2021 - The 2021 Athletic Banquet presented by Roughrider Athletics is 6pm Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Windham Civic Center. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 each. Children ages 5 and under are free. Free admission for High School Athletes. The event is catered by the Shelby County Cookers and Endless Possibilities. BBQ Chicken, sides, rolls, and dessert. Center Rider Baseball Team District Season on Twitch TV

April 20, 2021 - The Roughrider Sports Team is proud to announce it is carrying the Rider Baseball District Season!

Coverage begins tonight as the Roughriders take on the Jasper Bulldogs in Jasper. Game begins at 7pm; pregame begins at 6:40pm.

Special guests include Coach Kyle Thornell, starting pitcher Jase Bird, the members of the 4x100 and 4x200 Area Champion Relay team and the Ford Tough Player of the Game.

Opportunity for Parental, Community Involvement at CISD

April 20, 2021 - The CISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is seeking 8 new members for the 2021 -2023 term (1 and 2 year terms). Parents, guardians and community members play a vital role in the district-wide implementation of our coordinated school health program. This a 1 or 2-year term commitment. Council members are critical for recommendations, proposals, or action items and working group participation as well as votes conducted during our 4 annual SHAC meetings. Meetings typically last 1 hour from 8-9 am.
