Center HS Earns 5 Medals at Regional UIL, Celeste Gibson State Qualifier

April 15, 2019 - Twelve Center High School students traveled to Huntsville this weekend for the Academic UIL Regional Competition.

The following students took home medals in their events:

Celeste Gibson - 3rd in News Writing (State Qualifier)
Trinity Moore - 5th in Editorial Writing
Cecily Gibson - 5th in Ready Writing
Mark Perkins - 5th in Persuasive Speaking
Keaton Watlington - 6th in Pros Interpretation

Center HS Theatre Proudly Presents Original Student Production

April 8, 2019 - Sophomore Kristen Orsak's original play, The Void, will be presented by CHS Theatre's 3rd Period Advanced Players on Thursday, April 11 at 6:30. Miss Orsak tells the story of Brooke, a teenager suffering from depression and her friends and family who aren't sure how to help her. The script has been workshopped by her peers since the fall and is ready for its "international premiere."

CMS Announces 3rd Nine Weeks "Students Who Make a Difference"

April 5, 2019 - Each nine weeks, CMS teachers are asked to nominate exceptional students possessing all or most of these qualities: A leader, always prepared for class, strives to make good grades, a hard worker, model student, kind and considerate of others, helpful to teachers and peers, punctual, strives to be a better student, exemplifies the qualities of #giveme5. Following are the students chosen for the third 9 weeks period as Students Who Make A Difference, along with the teachers nominating them.
