Aerial Video Update of Downtown Construction

September 30, 2020 - Shelby County Historian Walter Bounds has video documented another phase of the downtown construction on Wednesday, September 16th. The video highlights the opening of another completed corner of the square, the intersection of Nacogdoches Street and Austin Street, and the completely open Austin Street. Austin Street was one of the first streets closed when the construction began late last year shortly after the Poultry Festival ended.

Center Garden Club Announces Yard of the Month for October

September 25, 2020 - Center Garden Club is pleased to present its Yard of the Month Award for October 2020 to Tim and Jennifer Wulf whose beautifully designed and manicured lawn at 302 Oak Lane incorporates not only lovely foundation plantings that exhibit a variety of color, texture, and shape but, also, in the foreground, large and  impressive picturesque live oaks. Center Garden Club encourages everyone to drive by the Wulf home and enjoy their truly lovely landscaping.
