August 3, 2020 - The school year is just around the corner and the Shelby and San Augustine County Children’s Advocacy Center wants you to help child abuse victims in need by providing them with a backpack and supplies. We need your help!
July 31, 2020 - Beginning Monday, August 3, 2020, The Unique Boutique will be opened Monday – Friday from 9am to 4pm and will be accepting donations. While inside the store, customers are asked to keep 6 feet apart from each other and always wear a face mask. You can take your donations to the loading dock. Please remember that all donated items must be in good shape and not broken or torn. Only donate items during hours of operation so they can be properly handled. The store is not a dumping site for unusable items.
July 31, 2020 - Chloe Noel Gipson was among the more than 5,300 Baylor University students have been named to the Dean's Academic Honor List for the spring 2020 semester..
Gipson, a 2016 graduate of Center ISD, is a student of the College of Arts and Sciences at Baylor University.
Students honored on the Dean's List are Baylor undergraduates with a minimum semester grade-point average of 3.7 with no grade lower than a "C" while enrolled in a minimum of 12 graded semester hours.

After watching all the mess on the news every day, hour, minute... well, I’m just sick of what I’m seeing. Folk are tearing down history, mobs destroying folks businesses, asking that we fire our police (our heroes), want to replace our republic with socialism which results in communism and on and on. I’m a political junkie, and I’ve stopped watching most of the news.
