Today, as the images and emotions of Uvalde are still fresh in our minds and hearts - there is a call to prayer.

And today, as we marvel at the determination and dedication of our educators - there is a call to prayer.

August 9, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Tuesday, August 9.

Have you ever prayed over a thing or a place? This morning, my pastor and I have been invited by our high school principal to join him on campus to pray over the classrooms, the gym, the band hall, the cafeteria. On Wednesday evenings, our choir members, following rehearsal, often move out into our sanctuary to place their hands on the pews and pray. In the past I’ve been invited to housewarmings where all the guests were invited to pray over each room.

August 5, 2022 - It seems that the cost of going to elementary school in going up in a big way. I note that parents of these young students receive a list of necessary items the student will need from the school just to get started on day one of classes. One harried mother told me that the items cost her almost one hundred dollars from a major discount store for her third grade son.

TxDOT Seeks Public Input on State's 10-Year Transportation Plan

Public invited to comment on transportation projects

July 8, 2022 – TxDOT is seeking public input on the draft 2023 Unified Transportation Program (UTP), the state’s 10-year transportation plan. The UTP guides the development of projects around Texas to improve safety, address congestion and connectivity, and preserve roadways for Texas drivers. In addition to highway projects, the UTP addresses public transportation, maritime, aviation, rail, freight and international trade, and bicycle and pedestrian connectivity.
