June 29, 2022 - Good Morning! It's Wednesday, June 29.

Last night, 32 men met in Center for a community Men's Ministry Fish Fry. Good fellowship and Great food. We've got some world-class fishermen in our church family and it was ALL YOU COULD EAT! I woke up this morning still full! And thinking about Matthew 4:18-19. You know the passage -

June 28, 2022 – Pull out the grill and your red, white, and blue because the Fourth of July is here. This means gatherings, outdoor festivities, and good times with family and friends. As the meat sizzles on the grill, don’t let food safety fizzle out of your memory.

June 27, 2022 – As the July 4 holiday weekend approaches, officials with the U.S. Forest Service remind the public that fireworks are prohibited in the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas.

Fireworks can create a potentially dangerous fire situation, and Forest Supervisor Kimpton Cooper says law enforcement personnel will be watchful again this year.

Tomorrow’s going to be a memorable morning at First Baptist Center. Our worship service will begin with baptism, and that’s always a blessing. But this baptism will be unique. Three young girls will be baptized... by their dads. It’s going to be a moment to remember.

June 24, 2022 - As hot days are ahead over the weekend with 100+ heat index, it’s important to stay aware of the Texas Forest Service’s Fire Danger levels. As of June 24, 2022 the observed fire danger level for Shelby County remains "moderate" and is forecast to be "moderate" through the weekend.

Shelby County is not under a burn ban currently; however, conditions are worsening and the prospect of a burn ban increases.
