January 19, 2018 - Center Police Department’s K9 Taz will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and will be embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of K9 Diezel, UMass Amherst Police Department”. Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.

January 18, 2018 - We will be having our first monthly of 2018 this Saturday at the First Methodist Church on Porter Street in Center, Tx. from 9 am to 12 pm. Anyone interested in camera or photography is invited to attend. Hoping to see lots of people at the meeting to jumpstart the new year.

January 18, 2018 - First Baptist Church announces its Joy Seekers Women’s Conference to be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm.  Registration is $30, including a light breakfast, lunch, and a wonderful time of praise and studying the Word.  

January 16, 2018 - Album - In celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and all he stood for a parade was held in Center beginning on the city square Monday, January 15, 2018.
