Rep. Paddie Capitol Update: End of 30-day Special Session

August 18, 2017 - This week marked the end of the 30-day special session that started back in July. The House and the Senate were able to agree on a dozen different bills that the Governor put on the call for the special session. The Governor has signed all of the bills passed during the special session.

August 18, 2017 - The students listed on the Dean’s List of Academic Honors at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, including are undergraduates who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a perfect 4.0 in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours.

National Forests, Grasslands in Texas seeks Input on Wild, Scenic Rivers

August 16, 2017 - The National Forests and Grasslands in Texas is holding meetings to get public input on Wild and Scenic River eligibility and Wildernesses as part of its ongoing Forest Plan Revision.

Meetings will be Sept. 12 in Lufkin at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center and Sept. 14 at the San Augustine Chamber of Commerce, 611 W. Columbia St., San Augustine.
