June 27, 2017 - I am moved to say a little about by the events of unrest we see happening today in America and how they may relate to the Bible.
In the 2012 Democrat convention a large portion of the delegates actually booed God. That act of disobedience to our Lord sent a chill down my spine, to boo God is chilling and shows much about how America has regressed as a society.
June 26, 2017 - Local property owners are confused about letters received from a law firm in Houston in an advertising attempt to gain business.
The letters say, “TxDOT will likely take your property” which is stamped “advertisement” at the bottom of the letter. The property owners are mostly located near current or future TxDOT construction projects. These advertisements should be disregarded.
June 26, 2017 - Nacogdoches-Angelina-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby Farm Service Agency will conduct public meetings to discuss the County Committee election / nomination process and other FSA assistance programs as well as FSA farm loan programs. Agency representatives will be available to answer any questions regarding all programs available to producers.
The public meetings will be held on the following dates at the places listed:
June 26, 2017 - Saturday, July 1, 2017 will be the annual Sample/Metcalf Family reunion held at the Sample Cemetery. At this year's reunion the William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will be assisting with a very special medallion ceremony marking the graves of John Sample (790-1847) and James Bedford Sample (1825-1910) as Citizens of the Republic of Texas. The ceremony will begin at 10:30am.

June 23, 2017 Austin — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton today released his assessment of the recent Texas Relocation Report, a study by the Texas Association of Realtors. In the report, Texas ranked second among states adding new residents from other states, based on the influx and outflow of people. Leading all states with the number of transplants to Texas was California. In 2015, the number of people leaving California for the Lone Star State was 65,546.
June 23, 2017 - Rep. Chris Paddie (R-Marshall) has been named one of the Top Ten Legislators of the 85th Legislative Session by Texas Monthly.
Texas Monthly focused on Rep. Paddie's passage of a statewide regulatory framework for transportation network companies, expansion of job-creating Buy America provisions for iron and steel used in all state infrastructure projects, and his efforts to forge a compromise on the bathroom bill.
