June 16, 2017 - A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of Center Independent School District (CISD) was held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 beginning at 6pm at Center Independent School District Administration Board Room located at 107 Private Road 605 in Center, Texas 75935.

James Greer called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. and declared a quorum.
TISD Retirees
Timpson ISD retirees were honored at the end of school year luncheon for their many years of dedication and service to Timpson ISD. Superintendent Dr. Mid Johnson presented them with a rocking chair and engraved clock. The retirees are:

June 15, 2017 - I have to admit that I enjoy watching the judge shows on television. I like Judge Judy, Judge Alex, Judge Mathis, and Judge Millian. If you watch them, too, then you know that after the case is settled the litigants are usually interviewed by the announcer. In many instances the loser will make the following statement, “Well, it is what it is.” Have you ever thought about that little phrase and what it actually means?
June 15, 2017 - Pam remembered her garden club roots, and gave many welcome addresses to our District Conventions and Southern Zone Workshops when Center Garden Club hosted. She made these ladies feel so welcome as she told of the many opportunities in Shelby County and the accomplishments of Center Garden Club.
