July 3, 2017 - Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and San Augustine County Care-N-Share are partnering to collect fans for our seniors. Care-N-Share has 165 Seniors who are in need of a fan.

From June 23rd through August 1st, please collect fans or funds to help families who cannot afford to purchase a fan to stay cool in the searing Texas summer heat.

New Designation for US 59 in Nacogdoches Also Approved

June 30, 2017 Lufkin – The Texas Transportation Commission on Thursday approved more than $582 million in new construction projects with nearly $9 million awarded for new projects in the Lufkin District. Also approved was a new designation of US 59 in Nacogdoches and rural transit district funding for the 2018 fiscal year.

June 29, 2017 - This upcoming month we will celebrate two important holidays. The first being the Fourth of July to commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. The second is National Pecan Pie Day on July 12. Pecan pie also happens to be the State Pie of Texas. So while you shoot off fireworks and eat pie, I hope it is with family and friends as I know mine will be.
