July 19, 2016 - The President of the United States has issued a proclamation ordering the flag of the United States continue to be displayed at half-staff from now until sunset on Friday, July 22, 2016 as a mark of respect for the victims of the attack on police officers perpetrated on Sunday, July 17, 2016, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

July 18, 2016 - Schreiner University has named qualified students to its President's and Dean's List. To be eligible for the President's List, full-time students must earn at least a 3.75 grade point average and have at least 12 hours credit for the term.  To qualify for the Dean's List, a full-time student must have passing grades in all courses and, must earn at least a 3.50 grade point average and at least 12 hours credit for the term.

July 15, 2016 - “I Wish I was in Dixie” is a popular song about the South.  It was written by composer Daniel Emmett, a Northerner from Mount Vernon, Ohio, which was published in 1859. It has become sort of the national anthem of southern states.
