Shelby, San Augustine Counties, Neighboring County Livestock Producers May Be Eligible for 2015 Drought Disaster Assistance

December 11, 2015 - Nacogdoches, Texas –The County Executive Director for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) at the Nacogdoches USDA Service Center, Lance Jacobs, announced that ranchers and livestock producers may be eligible for assistance from the Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) for grazing losses incurred in 2015 due to drought.

ANRA Accepting Grant Applications for Septic System Installs or Replacements

December 9, 2015 - The Angelina & Neches River Authority (ANRA) is accepting applications for grants to install or replace On‐Site Sewage Facilities (OSSFs), also known as septic systems, in the Attoyac Bayou watershed. The Attoyac Bayou is listed as impaired for E. coli bacteria in the Texas Integrated Report of Surface Water Quality. Failed On‐Site Sewage Facilities have been identified in the Attoyac Bayou Watershed Protection Plan as a leading contributor to these bacterial impairments.
