September 4, 2018 - Center High School Parents and Students,
It is with deepest sympathy I am informing you a Center High School Student perished in an automobile accident over the weekend. As details become available we will readily share them, however we should all be very respectful of the grieving family and friends.
As Principal I want you to know we will have Counselors on site for any Student who needs help with the grieving process.
August 31, 2018 - I hope this message finds you well and the first days of school are full of wonder and have occurred without incident as we all embark on a new year. The district's focus is on literacy and academic growth for every student. In our mission, we recognize that effective communication can lead to a more transparent and successful school year. As such, I want to personally draw your attention to an important tool, the txConnect Parent Portal, that is available to you in order for you to keep track of your student's progress.
August 30, 2018 - The Center Roughrider Cross Country team will compete at the SFA Lumberjack Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday, September 1st at the Pecan Acres City Park on Starr Avenue across from the SFA Intramural Field.

August 28, 2018 - The Varsity and Junior Varsity Football Team will begin practice at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, September 3. The freshmen will not have practice.
August 30, 2018 - The Middle School Football program will not have practice on Monday, September 3, 2018. The 7th grade will resume practice at 7:00 am and the 8th grade at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018.
August 27, 2018 - The Varsity tennis team improves to 4-1 record.
The Riders traveled to Whitehouse Friday, August 24 and faced their toughest competition thus far. Center lost 12-7 to the Wildcats, but played a number of close matches that could have gone either way.
Center then played in their first home match Saturday, August 25 vs Jacksonville. The Riders came out on a mission after the Whitehouse loss and dominated most of the matches and pulled out all of the close matches for a 17-2 win.
August 13, 2018 - Center Middle School will have a mandatory Parent/Guardian meeting for all Honors/Advanced Math students on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in the CMS auditorium at 5:00 PM. If you are unable to attend, please make an appointment with CMS Principal Jake Henson. Also, review the Honors/Advanced Math Program Packet, sign and return the last page to your child's teacher.
