CISD Girls' Athletics: Informational Parent Meeting May 1

April 13, 2018 - There will be a District-Wide Parent Meeting for ALL female athletes who wish to be a part of the Center ISD Girls' Athletic Program for the 2018-2019 school year.

This includes girls entering 7th grade - 12th grade next school year.

The meeting will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. in the CHS Cafeteria.

This is an informational meeting for ALL parents who have female students planning to participate in ANY sport next school year.

Center Roughrider Baseball Game Time Change

April 13, 2018 - The Center Roughriders baseball game against Tatum has been rescheduled from 7pm, Fri, Apr 13 to 4:30pm.

Center HS Annual Senior BBQ Fundraiser

April 13, 2018 - The Center High School Senior Class asks for your support with the annual BBQ fundraiser!

Lunches include a BBQ sandwich, chips, cookies, and bottled water for $7. Lunches will be delivered on Friday, April 13th.

April 12, 2018 - Center FFA’s Advisor Alexandria Bowen is conducting a Hunter’s Education Certification Course on Saturday, April 21, 2018.

Location: James Greer Agriculture Building (Ag Building 1 behind the main Center High School Building)

Time: 8am-3pm with an hour for lunch at 11am

Cost: $15 per person - lunch not included

Center Roughrider JV Track Team Places 1st in Daingerfield

April 9, 2018 - The Center JV and Varsity boy's track teams competed at the Mickey Mayne Relays in Daingerfield on Thursday, April 5. The point totals from the meet are below:

JV Division:
1st Place (Champions) - Center (230 Points)
2nd Place - Tatum (187 Points)
3rd Place - Daingerfield (77 Points)
4th Place - Pittsburg (62 Points)
5th Place - Jefferson (40 Points)
6th Place - Ore City (15 Points)

Dedication of James K Greer Agriculture Science Building (Today)

April 2, 2018 - The dedication of the James K. Greer Agriculture Science Building will take place on Friday, April 6, at 11:30 following a resolution made by the Center ISD Board of Trustees.

Greer served CISD as School Board President for 2.8 years and Shelby County as County Extension Agent for Agriculture and 4-H for 26 years.

The community is invited to attend.

Center High School NHS Deadlines, Banquet

Attention parents/guardians of Center High School juniors:

April 5, 2018 - If your child received a National Honor Society invitation packet, the deadline to turn in the paperwork and $20 membership dues is Monday, April 9th. NO applications will be accepted late.

The NHS Induction and Honor banquet will be on Monday, April 16 at 6pm. The ceremony is free to attend, but tickets must be purchased in advance for the catered meal that will follow.

CHS Theater Presents "Noises Off!" (Cancelled)

April 3, 2018 - The Center High School presentation of Noises Off scheduled for 7:00 is cancelled. Predicted storms could make travel hazardous. Our administration is recommending caution.

Regretfully, the show, which has already been rescheduled, will not be presented this year.

April 2, 2018 - The theatre presentation originally scheduled for this evening has been postponed to April 3 at 7 p.m. following a change in the baseball schedule.
