December 20, 2017 - On Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9, members of the Center Middle School Band and Center High School Band recently auditioned in Carthage and Henderson for the ATSSB (Association of Texas Small Schools Band) Middle School and High School All-Region Bands. The students who earned a chair in the All-Region band will perform at Chapel Hill high school on January 20th.

December 15, 2017 - The Center High School JCC students collected toys at the Christmas on Roughrider Drive Festival on December 14. The toys will be donated to the Center Police Department to help with their Blue Santa Program.

December 15, 2017 - Rodrick Gardner (CHS '95) and Eddie Salazar (CHS '09) from Estex Fadz of Center partnered with Jeremy Lacy from Royalty Cutz in San Augustine and Center Elementary Counselor Joyce Jackson to provide free haircuts for boys at Center Elementary on December 14, 2017.

December 11, 2017 - On October 26th, 2017, the Center High School twirlers traveled to Lufkin High School to compete in the UIL Region 21 Twirling Solo and Ensemble Contest. Each twirler had prepared either a solo or an ensemble to perform for the judges.  Twirlers earning a first division on their solo were: Kayden Davis, Selena Jaimes, Mallory Sims, Holly Wilburn, and Raylee Wilburn.  Students earning a first division on their ensemble were Maria Alvarado, Kayden Davis, Maria Alvarado, Jackie Gonzalez, Abby Cooper, Mallory Sims, Selena Jaimes, and Holly Wilburn. Thirteen first di
