Letter from CHS Principal Matthew Gregory Regarding Campus Safety

Dear CHS Parents/Guardians

February 28, 2018 - On Monday, February 26th a concern was brought to the attention of Center High School (CHS) Administration regarding a troubling comment made by a student. Along with the report of this statement, a picture began circulating which further enhanced the report in question. This correspondence is to provide clarity.

Center ISD Early Release Friday, Fan Bus Information

February 28, 2018 - To accommodate all of the transportation and travel needs for the basketball regional semifinal game in Commerce, we will be releasing school 3.5 hours early on Friday, March 2.

We will be providing Basketball Fan Buses again this year. If you or someone you know wants to ride the fan bus, call the Center ISD Transportation Dept at (936)598-2880 and reserve your spot. Adults $ 5.00 students $3.00 and children und 5 years old are free. All children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

February 26, 2018 - A Special Meeting - Board Training - Vision and Goal Setting Workshop of the Board of Trustees of Center ISD will be held February 27, 2018, beginning at 12:00 PM in the Center Independent School District Administration Boardroom 107 PR 605 Center, TX 75935.

Tennis
Nacogdoches Varsity tennis tournament is being rescheduled.

Softball - Tournament at Nacogdoches: February 22 - 23. JV Tournament bracket has been cancelled. Only Varsity will play.

Basketball - Area Playoffs, Riders vs Van Vandals, Pine Tree Gym, Longview on Friday, February 23.18 at 7 p.m. Cost: $5 Adults, $3 Students. Senior Citizen Passes are Accepted. Center will be the Home Team.

Center ISD Board of Trustees Calls for Bond Election

February 20, 2018 - On February 15, 2018 the Board of Trustees met at a regularly scheduled meeting and unanimously adopted an Order Calling a Bond Election, pursuant to which, a bond election will be conducted in the District on May 5, 2018. 

After a thorough review by a special committee responsible for evaluating the future facility needs of the district, the Board of Trustees determined to proceed with 2 bond propositions, encompassing the proposed projects.
