Three Roughriders Competing at State!

March 17, 2022 - Three Center ISD Lady Roughriders are off to compete in State competitions!

UIL Speech and Debate Team

The Cross Examination (CX) team of Nathali Abella Hernandez and Kaylee Cox will attend the state contest in Austin, Texas, on Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18 after placing second at district in February, with Nathali being named Top Speaker. 

Center Tennis Varsity, JV Recent Tournament Results; Upcoming Tournaments

On March 1, 2022 the JV tennis team travelled to Whitehouse and had a long day with 16 schools and only two sites. Top finishers include the following:

  • Girls singles: Gracie Boyd - 1st place
  • Mixed doubles: John Ford / Chloe Rachal - 2nd place
  • Mixed doubles: Luke Fausett / Amanda Lopez - consolation medalist
  • Boys doubles: Charlie Corbell / Ryan Arndt - consolation medalist

On March 3, 2022 the Varsity competed at the Longview Lobo invite. 24 schools with 4A thru 6A all in same brackets. Results are as follows:

CHS Annual Title I Meeting, Parent-Teacher Conference Night

March 10, 2022 - Center High School annual Title I meeting and parent-teacher conference night is Thursday, March 17, 2022.

The Title I meeting is in the Cafeteria from 5:30pm until 6pm. Parent-teacher conferences is from 6pm until 7:30pm.

Come and meet with your child's teachers to discuss how they are doing in their classes. Join us! We look forward to seeing you!

Center HS Coach, Nine Athletes Are Honorees on All District Team Selections

March 3, 2022 - After a long and successful basketball season, Center High School had two athletes receive top honors, Christopher Evans and Makel Johnson, as well as Coach Hiram Harrison who was named Coach of the Year.

Nine athletes were named in all from Center on the 2021-2022 District 17-4A Boy's Basketball All District team or received honorable mention. Five of the nine athletes also received Academic All-District recognition.
