Center ISD Board of Trustees Notice of Regular Meeting, Sept. 16th Agenda

September 14, 2021 - A Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Center Independent School District will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 beginning at 12:00 noon in the Center Independent School District Board Room 107 Private Road 605, Center, TX 75935.

Coca-Cola Scholarship Application

September 14, 2021 - The Coca-Cola Scholarship application is available to all qualified high school seniors!

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation believes that investing in students who are leaders, both academically and in service to others, will result in positive, lasting change and sustainable communities.

Know a high school senior who fits the bill?

Encourage them to apply to be a Coke Scholar by October 31, 2021, at 5pm Eastern and receive one of 150 college scholarships worth $20,000 through the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.

Center Lady Riders Volleyball Falls to Grace

September 8, 2021 - On Tuesday, September 7, the Rider hosted Grace and lost in five sets. Center fought hard but lost the first set in a close matchup 22-25 but then came back to win the second set strong 25-15. Grace came back in the third set for the win 19-25 and took back the lead. Center didn't give up and tied the sets again by winning the fourth 25-21.

Center felt a hard loss in the fifth set 3-15 to end the match with Grace taking the win.

Center Lady Riders Volleyball Competes in Marshall Tournament

September 8, 2021 - The Center Lady Rider Volleyball team played September 3rd and 4th in a tournament in Marshall. Center had two wins against Carthage JV and Winona. They fell to Pine Tree, Redwater, Henderson, and Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill.

Scores for each set are listed below.

Center vs Pine Tree (Loss)
- Set 1: 16-25
- Set 2: 20-25

Center vs Redwater (Loss)
- Set 1: 11-25
- Set 2: 13-25

Center vs Carthage JV (Win)
- Set 1: 25-17 
- Set 2: 25-19

Center Lady Riders Volleyball Falls to Timpson in 4 Sets

September 1, 2021 - The Center Lady Rider Volleyball team played Tuesday, August 31, and lost in four close sets to Timpson. Center lost their first set 20-25 but tied it up by taking the second set with a 25-16 score. However, Timpson came back to take the third set and fourth set for the overall win.

Next, the Lady Riders will travel away to compete in the Marshall Tournament on September 3 and 4. To view the CHS Volleyball Schedule, click here.

Center ISD School Auction/Sale

August 27, 2021 - Center ISD is having an Auction on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 8am until 11am at the Old Bus Barn on Stadium Drive.

Up for auction are Buses, Cars, a truck, and miscellaneous school items such as desks, cabinets, etc.

To enter a sealed bid on a vehicle: 

  • Before the auction: call Amanda Kirby 936.598.2880.
  • Day-of Auction: bring to old or new bus barn.
