March 30, 2020 - Based on President Trump’s latest guidelines regarding social-distancing, Excelsior ISD has decided to remain closed through April 30. We will closely monitor the situation between now and then and will provide an update by Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
Our teachers will continue to support your child’s education by providing work either via packets or online. Please follow the instructions provided by your child’s teacher regarding the pick-up and return of classwork.
March 19, 2020 - Given the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19, EXCELSIOR ISD will extend the suspension of normal district operations through Friday, April 3rd in an effort support our nation’s need to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. Our health officials report that cases are continuing to spread in the state. Suspending operations for this length of time will allow us to determine, in coordination with local health officials, whether the virus is continuing to spread or whether it has been contained.
March 13, 2020 - Excelsior ISD is actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. The Texas Education Agency has provided guidelines and procedures for determining how to address the issue.
We plan to take all necessary and appropriate steps to responsibly address the situation. We have taken the opportunity during spring break to clean and disinfect all desks, tables, door handles, lockers, buses, etc.
March 5, 2020 - Excelsior ISD students celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Thursday, March 5, 2020 with a colorful breakfast of green eggs and ham. Some students were a little skeptical about the green eggs, but most said they were very tasty!
February 7, 2020 - Come out and join us for our 2020 Political Rally hosted by Excelsior ISD PTO February 8, 2020 at 6pm.
Excelsior ISD Gymnasium - All local political candidates are welcome and encouraged to come out and speak to the public! In addition to the candidates speaking we will also be offering a gumbo dinner and cake auction throughout the night.
Gumbo dinner will start at 5pm, bowl of gumbo and a drink for $7.
All proceeds made will benefit the Excelsior PTO. We hope to see you there!
December 19, 2019 - Excelsior 2nd and 3rd grade students took their annual ride on the Polar Express. They enjoyed cookies and milk in their pajamas while watching the movie.
