February 4, 2022 - The Shelby County Commissioners have approved a project to move forward with repairs to the Shelby County Jail plumbing system at a cost of $75,000.

February 4, 2022 - A Shelbyville man was involved in an auto-pedestrian crash in Nacogdoches County Thursday night, and according to the Texas Department of Public Safety lost his life as a result of the incident.
The report states the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) the auto-pedestrian crash took place on state Highway 21, approximately one-mile west of Chireno, yesterday Feb. 3, 2022.
February 3, 2022 - The Center square was the scene of a two-vehicle crash Thursday night, February 3, 2022.
Center Police officers, assisted by the Texas Department of Public Safety, investigated the crash on San Augustine Street that occurred sometime before 9:30pm.
February 3, 2022 - Joaquin ISD will have a delayed start on Friday, February 4th due to winter weather conditions. Classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. Buses will run approximately two hours later than normal and staff will need to report at 9:30 a.m.
