Covid-19 Update: 14 New Cases, 7 Recoveries, 187 Active Cases

January 14, 2021 - The Texas COVID-19 Dashboard added a total of 14 new cases of COVID-19 and 7 new recoveries. Of the new cases, 4 were confirmed cases and 10 were probable cases.

The surge of cases continues, however, recoveries helped to slow the increase of active cases for the first time since January 3rd.

January 14th (4:00pm) Numbers:
Total Confirmed Cases - 741 (4 new cases)
Total Probable Cases - 471 (10 new cases)
Total Fatalities - 41
Total Estimated Active Cases - 187
Total Estimated Recovered - 984

Covid-19 Update: 22 New Cases Set 2021 Single Day Record; Active Cases Now 180

January 13, 2021 - The Texas COVID-19 Dashboard added a total of 22 new cases of COVID-19 for a new largest single day increase for the 2021 year. The previous record was January 3rd with 18 cases. 

Of the new cases, 5 were confirmed cases and 17 were probable cases.

The surge of cases continues to push up the active case count which is now 180 and once again no new recoveries were reported allowing the numbers to continue to grow unimpeded.

Covid-19 Update: Active Cases Rise to 145

Updated 6:57pm - The Texas COVID-19 Dashboard added a total of 7 new cases of COVID-19 for a new active case count of 145. Of the new cases, 6 were confirmed cases and 1 was a probable case. No new recoveries were reported to help offset the growing active cases.

January 11th (3:40pm) Numbers:
Total Confirmed Cases - 725 (6 new cases)
Total Probable Cases - 438 (1 new case)
Total Fatalities - 41
Total Estimated Active Cases - 145
Total Estimated Recovered - 977

Tenaha ISD Resumes Classes on Jan. 12 with Delayed Start

January 11, 2021 - Due to concerns about a potential refreeze, the morning fog, and families still trying to get electricity back, Tenaha ISD will resume classes tomorrow, January 12 at 10am. Buses will run 2 hours later than usual time. Staff report at 9:30am.

Please use extreme caution on all roadways as temperatures will remain below freezing, but no additional precipitation is expected.
