Boil Water Notice for Community Public Water Systems Rescinded

June 17, 2020 - On June 14, 2020, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Choice public water system, 2100005 to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

​June 17, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:40am on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 0 new case and the total remains at 230 cumulative cases of COVID-19. DSHS also reports 7 recoveries for a total of 118 recoveries, 8 deaths, and 104 active cases.

DSHS also reports of the 230 cumulative cases, 34 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.

June 16, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:40am on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 1 new case for a total of 230 cumulative cases of COVID-19. DSHS also reports 111 total recoveries, 8 deaths, and 111 active cases.

DSHS also reports of the 230 cumulative cases, 35 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.

June 15, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9:00am on Monday, June 15, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 3 new case for a total of 229 cumulative cases of COVID-19. DSHS also reports 7 new recoveries for 111 total recoveries and the county has 110 active cases. The death count remains at 8 people who have lost their lives to COVID-19.

DSHS also reports of the 229 cumulative cases, 35 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.

June 12, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:36am on Friday, June 12, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 1 new case for a total of 226 cumulative cases of COVID-19. DSHS also reports 1 new recovery for 104 total recoveries and the county has 114 active cases.

DSHS also reports of the 226 cumulative cases, 35 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.

Local Officials Release COVID-19 Update: 9 New Cases, 2 New Deaths

June 11, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:17am on Thursday, June 11, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 9 new cases for a total of 225 cumulative cases of COVID-19. The state also reported 2 new deaths for a total of 8 deaths. Recoveries remain at 103 and the county now has 114 active cases.

DSHS also reports of the 225 cumulative cases, 35 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.

​June 10, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:50am on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 2 new cases, 216 cumulative cases of COVID-19, 103 recoveries, and 6 deaths for a total of 107 active cases.

(The TxDSHS has yet to report 2 additional deaths for Shelby County which is showing on the DSHS COVID-19 statistics website. The website has displayed 8 deaths for the county since Sunday.)
