Company is Committed to Disclosing Test Results to Help Keep Team Members and the Community Safe
SPRINGDALE, Ark. – June 4, 2020 – Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE:TSN) announced today the results of COVID-19 testing of team members at its Center, Texas poultry facility. The company conducted onsite testing of 1,212 team members from May 27 to May 29 during which it identified 17 positive cases, none of whom showed symptoms and otherwise would not have been identified.
June 5, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:00am on Friday, June 5, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 0 new cases, 214 cumulative cases of COVID-19, 98 recoveries, and 6 deaths for a total of 110 active cases.
DSHS also reports of the 214 cumulative cases, 33 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.

June 4, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 8:00am on Thursday, June 4, 2020, TxDSHS has reported 6 new cases, 214 cumulative cases of COVID-19, 96 recoveries, and 6 deaths for a total of 112 active cases.
DSHS also reports of the 214 cumulative cases, 28 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.

June 3, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9:45am on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, TxDSHS has reported a total of 208 cumulative cases of COVID-19, 87 recoveries, and 6 deaths for a total of 115 active cases.
DSHS also reports of the 208 cumulative cases, 22 of those cases are "lost to follow" which means DSHS has not been able to contact them to follow up on their recovery.

June 2, 2020 - The Shelby County Emergency Management office reports as of 9am on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, TxDSHS has reported a total of 204 cumulative cases of COVID-19, 87 recoveries, and 6 deaths for a total of 111 active cases.
May 31, 2020 - Center Police Officers engaged in a long distance high-speed pursuit Saturday, May 30, 2020, following an initial attempt to stop the suspect vehicle at State Highway 87 South and Loop 500.
June 1, 2020 - The State of Texas has recently entered into an agreement with a company to participate in contact tracing. This includes contacting an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19, and documenting their location and who they have been in contact with to trace where the disease may have been spread. Participation in this is 100% voluntary, and no Texan will be required to participate in this process. If you receive a phone call from a contact tracer, you have every right to not engage with them or provide the information they request.
Update: On May 31st, DSHS reported 4 new confirmed cases for Shelby County that were later discovered, had previously been reported. So those 4 cases have been subtracted. Shelby County has a total of 201 cumulative cases of COVID-19. The other numbers below still include the 4 cases double counted.
