August 5, 2019 - CR 2420 at the intersection of FM 2694 was the scene of a house fire on July 30, 2019. 

According to the Shelbyville Volunteer Fire Department, they were dispatched to the scene and when they arrived the mobile home was engulfed in flames.

As of 2:45pm, the roadway is back open.

July 24, 2019 - Construction of a new building for the Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 office was approved by the Shelby County Commissioners during their July 24, 2019 meeting.

July 29, 2019 - The Center Police Department received numerous reports of Burglaries of motor vehicles in the general San Augustine St. area from mid-June to July 24th. 

Several firearms were taken from the vehicles, along with other items.
