Shelby County Emergency Management Issues Disaster Preparedness Recommendations

With the impending landfall of Tropical Storm Cindy, we are reminded of how important it is to be prepared for any type of disaster.  There’s no time like the present to organize an Emergency Preparedness Kit for your home that could be utilized during weather related and non-weather related disasters.

CR 3366 Scene of Single-Vehicle Crash

June 14, 2017 - First responders were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash near Tenaha Monday, June 12, 2017.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper Sean Smith, at 12:01pm Ashley Glass, 25, of Tenaha was driving a Toyota SUV southbound on CR 3366 with a 15-month-old female passenger in the vehicle.

The Toyota hit a bump, which caused Glass to lose control. She tried to correct the loss of control and took faulty evasive action, striking a tree. The vehicle then rolled to the right and came to rest upright and on the roadway.
