August 24, 2015 - Shelbyville I.S.D. is pleased to announce that Senior Citizens (age 65 or over) who reside in Shelbyville I.S.D. will be admitted free of charge to all Home Athletic Events for the 2015-16 school year, by presenting a Shelbyville I.S.D. Gold Card Pass. **Proof of Age and Residence is Required**

Please come by the Shelbyville I.S.D. Administration Office at your convenience to pick up a Gold Card.

August 20, 2015 - The Shelbyville Independent School District offers career and technical education programs in family and consumer science, agricultural science, business education, and multi-occupational co-op training. Admission to these programs is based on interest and aptitude, age appropriateness, and class space available.

August 13, 2015 - Shelbyville ISD will host their annual Meet the Dragons on Tuesday, August 25 at 7:00 p.m at Dragon Stadium.

August 11, 2015 - The Toletha Furlow Memorial Scholarship committee will once again be selling Shelbyville t-shirts. All proceeds will go to scholarships for 2015 Shelbyville High School graduates. T-shirts are $18.00 each

The black Dragon Spirit t-shirts are printed front and back. The red elementary shirts are printed only on the front.

Order forms will be available during Meet the Teacher, the first day of school and at each principal's office. The final day for order is September 2nd. Payment must accompany orders.

August 4, 2015 - S. W. Carter Elementary School will have pre-registration for new students moving into the district (pre-kindergarten-5th grade) August 10th - 13th from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Please bring your child’s report card, immunization record, birth certificate, social security card and proof of residency.
