April 28, 2025 - Shelbyville High School Academic UIL students competed at the 2025 Region III-AA Academic UIL Meet at Panola College on April 25th. Scoring 243 total points, they are the Region III-AA Academic UIL Champions!
April 24, 2025 - Shelbyville ISD will be participating in the following Federal Programs during the 2025-26 school year: Title I-Part A, Title I-Part C Migrant, Title II-Part A, Title III-Part A LEP, Title IV-Part A Student Support and Academic Enrichment, IDEA-B, IDEA-B-Preschool, and CATE-Carl D. Perkins.
April 22, 2025 - Shelbyville Varsity Softball Playoffs will be against Groveton on Thursday April 24, at 5:30, Friday April 25, at 7:30 and if needed Saturday April 26, TBD.
Shelbyville will be the home team on Thursday and the away team on Friday.
April 18, 2025 - S.W. Carter Elementary announces the students who achieved All "A" and All "A/B" grades to make the Honor Roll for the 5th-Six Weeks of the school year 2024-2025.

April 15, 2025 - Shelbyville High School's Dragon Players will compete at the Regional UIL One Act Play competition at Panola College Thursday, April 24. Admission is $15 per person, cash only; no children under the age of 6 years will be admitted. Tickets are good for all 6 shows. The first show begins at 11am. Shows will run back to back; Shelbyville is the fifth show to perform. No children under 6 will be admitted.
April 14, 2025 - Parents of students living outside Shelbyville Independent School District who wish their children to attend Shelbyville Schools during the 2025-2026 school year must request transfer no later than June 2, 2025.
There will be no new student transfers for Middle School and High School for the 2025-2026 school year (grades 6 through 12).
April 10, 2025 - Shelbyville One Act Play advances to UIL Area competition this Saturday, April 12 at Union Grove High School in Union Grove. Performances begin at 10:00 am.
A one-time admission fee of $5 admits audience members to all six shows. Shelbyville performs last at approximately 2:30pm; shows run back to back with no set time.
The players will perform scenes from Lend Me a Soprano, a farce by Ken Ludwig.
