August 8, 2017 - State law requires all students be current on their immunizations before attending school. Shelbyville ISD will be offering an Immunization Clinic to students enrolled in classes for the 2017-18 year. The Clinic will be held during “Meet the Teacher,” August 24, 2017, between the hours of 3:30 – 5:30pm.
Immunizations will be available to ALL students. Parents should bring a current copy of student’s immunization record and, if student is insured, bring insurance card.
August 8, 2017 - Shelbyville S. W. Carter Elementary, Middle School, and High School will all be hosting Meet the Teacher on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
August 18, 2017 - Shelbyville I.S.D. is pleased to announce that Senior Citizens (age 65 or over) **PROOF OF AGE AND RESIDENCE REQUIRED** who reside in Shelbyville I.S.D. will be admitted free of charge to all Home Athletic Events for the 2017-18 school year, by presenting a Shelbyville I.S.D. Gold Card Pass. Please come by the Shelbyville I.S.D. Administration Office at your convenience to pick up a Gold Card.
August 18, 2017 - Shelbyville I.S.D. is pleased to announce that all Shelbyville I.S.D. retirees will be admitted free of charge to home athletic events for the 17-18 school year by presenting a special pass. If you are a Shelbyville I.S.D. retiree and do not receive a pass by mail, please come by the administration office or call 598-2641.
August 8, 2017 - S. W. Carter Elementary School will have pre-registration for new students moving into the district (pre-k-5th grade) August 14th - 17th from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Please bring your child’s report card, immunization record, certified birth certificate, social security card and proof of residency.
Meet the Teacher is scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
August 7, 2017 - The Shelbyville Independent School District offers career and technical education programs in family and consumer science, agricultural science, business education, and multi-occupational co-op training. Admission to these programs is based on interest and aptitude, age appropriateness, and class space available.
August 1, 2017 - August has arrived and the countdown to school starting is here! Center ISD and Center Christian Academy are the first schools to start back on August 14th followed by Joaquin ISD a week later on August 21st, and the remaining schools in the county starting August 28th.
