Timpson ISD Teachers Receive Teacher Incentive Allotment Payout

August 15, 2024 – The payouts for the Teacher Incentive Allotment designations have been received by qualifying TISD teachers! The teachers were recognized at the monthly Timpson ISD school board meeting on Tuesday, August 13.

When Timpson ISD’s Teacher Incentive Allotment designations were approved last spring, qualifying teachers became eligible to receive TEA pay stipends depending on their level of designation - Recognized, Exemplary, and Master.

Back to School Underway, 2024-2025 School Calendars, Sports This Week

August 12, 2024 - Across Shelby County, the 2024-2025 school year is underway with five of the local schools having started. Tenaha and Timpson started their school year last week. For Center Christian Academy, Joaquin, and Shelbyville the new school year started today, August 12. Tomorrow, Center and Excelsior will start and finalize the back-to-school season.

Timpson ISD Reserved Football Seating, Senior Citizen Passes

August 12, 2024 - Timpson ISD information for the 2024-2025 football Reserved Football Seating and Senior Citizen Passes.

Reserved Football Seating – Timpson ISD will begin selling reserved football seating on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. If you wish to keep your reserved seats you had for the 2023-2024 football season, be sure and go to the Central Office and see Sherri to secure your seats for the upcoming 2024-2025 football season.

Timpson ISD Substitute Orientation, Training

June 26, 2024 - Timpson ISD has scheduled a substitute orientation/training for Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 9am at the Timpson ISD Event Center. The training is required each year for those who are recurring substitute teachers or new applicants. If you have never been a substitute teacher at the district, you will need to fill out an application.

30% of Timpson High School Graduating Seniors Earn Associates Degrees

June 18, 2024 - 30 percent of Timpson ISD seniors graduated in May with their associates degrees in addition to their high school diplomas.

Through Timpson ISD’s dual credit partnership with Panola College, TISD offers students the opportunity to take college classes for free while still in high school.

May 18, 2024 - Timpson High School introduces the graduating class of 2024. Commencement ceremonies will be held at 8pm Friday, May 24, 2024 in the Timpson ISD Event Center.

Timpson's Valedictorian is William Tate Barnes and Salutatorian is Kallie Nicole Solomon.
