The Lady Bears played a dual match against Ore City and Longview Christian Heritage on Tuesday. The Lady Bears volleyball team lost to Ore City 3-1 and beat Longview Christian Heritage 3-1. Next, they will be in the West Sabine Tournament this Friday and Saturday August 19-20. Congrats and Good Luck Lady Bears.

Timpson ISD Senior Citizen Passes, Reserved Seating, Meet the Teacher and Other News

August 11, 2016 - Senior Citizen Passes - Senior citizens (63 years young and older) may come by and get your senior citizen pass on Friday August 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the Central Office. Coach Therwhanger will be available to meet and visit with you. Timpson ISD appreciates our Senior Citizens!

Shelby County Youth Football for Timpson Teams Sign-Up Dates

August 4, 2016 - Shelby County Youth Football will hold Sign-Ups for the 2016 fall season at B & B Grocery on the following dates:

Saturday, August 13th from 9:00am-12:00pm
Saturday, August 20th from 9:00am-12:00pm
Saturday, August 27th from 9:00am-12:00pm

Cost is $75 per child Flag (Ages 4 – 7)
Cost is $100 per child Tackle (Ages 8-12)
(Includes Jersey, Flags, Pad and Helmet, insurance, and all fees)

Timpson ISD Child Nutrition Department Announces Policy Change

August 1, 2016 - The Timpson Independent School District today announced a change to its policy for serving meals for children served under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2016-2017 school year. This new change will allow all children at all schools/sites to be served meals at no charge.

City of Timpson Trash/Recycle Dumpster

July 25, 2016 - There will be a trash dumpster Saturday, August 6th beside city hall on RR Street 7AM until full. No oil, freon, paint, batteries, tires, refrigerators, computer equipment and no dumping outside of the dumpster.

The recycle dumpster will be here August 6th - 12th. It will be located downtown in front of the gazebo.

At the Timpson High School Senior Scholarship program presenters awarded $94,720 in scholarships. The TISD Board of Trustees, administrators and staff express their appreciation to the individuals, families, foundations, businesses and schools who gave so generously to help THS seniors.

Timpson ISD Sponsors Memorial Day Program

May 23, 2016 - American Legion Post 90 and Timpson ISD will sponsor a Memorial Day program at the gazebo on the Timpson square Monday, May 30 at 10am.

Military servicemen from Timpson who were killed in duty to their country will be named and Gold Star families will be recognized. In addition the presentation of colors, speeches and playing of TAPS will be part of this program.

Please join us for this important program that recognizes, remembers and shows appreciation to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our county.
