November 6, 2025 - The Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) William Carroll Crawford Chapter gathered to enjoy a meal together on Wednesday, November 5 and to take care of chapter business. After chapter reports were presented, the members enjoyed two programs.
November 4, 2025 - Voting results for the 2025 November Constitutional Amendments election and the City of Center election are all in.
In the City of Center election, incumbents David Chadwick retains his position as Mayor and Howell Howard retains his position as Council Member, District 3. Both races were unopposed. Also, incumbent Joyce Johnson retained her position as Council Member, District 1.
November 3, 2025 - Halloween wasn’t a thriller for most of the Shelby County Varsity Football teams as the Joaquin Rams were the only team to improve their season with a win for the week 10 of competition. Center and Joaquin have both assured their advancement to the playoffs. This last week of District play will decide the fate of whether Timpson's or Shelbyville's season is ending or continuing.
November 3, 2025 - The official naming of the Shelby County Outreach Ministries main office location to the "Joy and Martin Weaver Building" was honored and celebrated today, November 3rd with a ribbon cutting event.
October 14, 2025 - The City of Center's November 4th General Election is for three races: Mayor; Council Member, District 1; and Council Member, District 3.
October 14, 2025 - The upcoming November 4, 2025 Ballot Language for the Constitutional Amendment Election. Early voting starts October 20, 2025.

"The constitutional amendment providing for the creation of the permanent technical institution infrastructure fund and the available workforce education fund to support the capital needs of educational programs offered by the Texas State Technical College System."
November 1, 2025 - Tenaha's Adrian Ramirez edges out Bosqueville's Cristiano Tinoco to win the 2A Cross Country Championship Saturday in Round Rock, Texas.
