March 26, 2019 - Haslam Strip (U.S. Highway 84) was the scene of a fatal auto versus pedestrian collision early Tuesday morning, March 26, 2019 just east of CR 3590.

Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department firemen responded to the scene and requested an ambulance at the location.

March 15, 2019 - State Highway 7 West just over one mile from the Nacogdoches County line was the scene of a crash Wednesday, March 14, 2019 which involved three motor vehicles and a trailer.

March 13, 2019 - Emergency responders were alerted to a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 96 North outside of Tenaha on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.

One individual received possible injuries as a result and was transported to a hospital. 

March 7, 2019 - A trial involving the suspect in the shooting death of Austin Underbrink, 23, of Center was scheduled for earlier this week in the 273rd district Court with Judge James Payne presiding.

Jury selection was held for the first time on record at the John D. Windham Civic Center due to the large pool of potential jurors, approximately 160-170. The selection lasted all day Monday, March 4.

Tuesday morning the jury which had been selected was released by the court.

March 4, 2019 - U.S. Highway 96 at the intersection of FM 2026 (Folsom Chapel Road) was the scene of a major two-vehicle crash Friday, March 1, 2019.
