December 29, 2020 - (Program Flier, Hoodie Flier) - We need your help! Start off 2021 by saving lives! The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) will be hosting our first blood drive of the year on January 4, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot at the SCSO. FREE COVID-19 anti-body testing will be provided for all successful donors.
October 28, 2020 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend thanks to the public and local media outlets for their assistance with helping us locate and safely bring home Ashiyah Patton. Patton was returned home on October 28, 2020. Our press release received numerous tips and hundreds of Facebook shares, and this is what helped officers bring him home.

October 16, 2020 - A drop box has been installed in the front lobby at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. The box will allow the public to drop money off to inmates housed within the jail.
September 8, 2020 - (Update) - In regards to the suspicious death that occurred Thurs., Sept. 4 on CR 3754 in Center, the deceased hs been identified as Kristy Simmonds of Center.
July 28, 2020 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is seeking the whereabouts of David LaBoy, 35, of Center. LaBoy is described as a 6’00” black male and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. LaBoy has two active felony warrants for Invasive Visual Recording (SJF) and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (SJF).
March 13, 2020 - Jail inmate visitation at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) has been suspended until further notice. Public entrance into the SCSO will be limited to complainants and/or deliveries only.
This temporary suspension was granted by the governor’s office in response to the current threat of the Coronavirus.
This suspension will remain in effect until terminated by the Office of the Governor or until the disaster declaration is lifted or expires. All efforts will be made for attorney visitation.
