August 31, 2021 - According to the Shelby County Jail log, Rodgers is in custody at the Shelby County Jail, as of August 30, 2021, under a motion for adjudication of guilt, with the original charge being unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

At 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, Bennett entered the lobby of the SCSO and turned himself in to authorities without incident.

August 23, 2021 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is actively investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday, August 21 on County Road 2225 in Center.

July 8, 2021 - Upon taking the oath to be your Sheriff, I made a promise to the citizens of Shelby County to always be transparent. I promised to keep the public informed whether it is good or bad. While it is often hard to admit when there is a problem, a promise is a promise, and honesty is always the best route to take.

June 14, 2021 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has received a report of a new scam that is circulating in our area.

The caller is stating he is with the Lions Club International Grant Fund. The caller will tell you that you have won a large sum of money but in order to obtain it, you will be required to pay a fee upfront for the transfer to take place. In order to complete the transfer, you are required to send money through prepaid debit cards, Google Play cards, etc.

This is a scam. Do not play into this. You will lose your money!
