February 12, 2021 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office received a call on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at approximately 11pm, regarding an individual lying on the side of the roadway on County Road 2020. Deputies responded to the location and discovered a deceased male subject.
February 10, 2021 - On February 9, 2021 at 4:56 p.m., Deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office respond to the 2000 block of County Road 4868 in Timpson in regards to a juvenile with a gunshot wound.
Sheriff Kevin Windham reports that once officers were on scene, a male juvenile was found deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The body has been sent for an autopsy. Sheriff Windham reports that no foul play is expected.

December 29, 2020 - (Program Flier, Hoodie Flier) - We need your help! Start off 2021 by saving lives! The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) will be hosting our first blood drive of the year on January 4, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot at the SCSO. FREE COVID-19 anti-body testing will be provided for all successful donors.
October 28, 2020 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend thanks to the public and local media outlets for their assistance with helping us locate and safely bring home Ashiyah Patton. Patton was returned home on October 28, 2020. Our press release received numerous tips and hundreds of Facebook shares, and this is what helped officers bring him home.
