Joaquin VFD Report Includes 6 Calls for Week of Oct. 16-22

October 24, 2022 - The week of October 16th through 22nd was host to another 6 calls for the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department. Here’s a summary of the weeks events.

The first page of the week came in the wee hours of Monday morning in regards to a woman having trouble breathing on Private Road 120. The JVFD EMR team responded to provide some urgent medical attention. 

Joaquin VFD Reports 6 Calls, Training Day

October 10, 2022 - It was high volume week for the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department with another 6 calls. In addition to the emergencies, there was also a day of training with several of Shelby County’s finest. Here’s a summary of the weeks events.

Starting early on Sunday morning, the EMR team would be dispatched to a lift assist at a residence on Highway 84 East. It would later be discovered that this call was for a DOA.

Joaquin VFD Reports to 6 Calls: 4 Medical, 1 Fire, 1 Crash

October 3, 2022 - The final week of September was a busy one for the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department with 6 separate outings. Here is a summary of the weeks events. 

Starting mid-day on Sunday the JVFD was dispatched to a seizure patient on Connell Ferry Road. The EMR team responded to check out the patient before DeSoto EMS could arrive to transport.

Monday the EMR team would be called to Caroll Street for a person having chest pains. The patient was transported by Allegiance EMS.

Joaquin VFD Reports 5 Calls for Week of September 11th

September 19, 2022 - During the week of September 11th through 17th the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department had 5 total calls. Here is a brief rundown of all that transpired.

The calls began Monday morning with a heart attack patient on County Road 3590. The JVFD EMR team would respond to check out the patient. 

Later in the day the EMRs would return to County Road 3590, this time in response to a fall patient with potentially fractured ribs. Allegiance EMS was also advised.

Joaquin VFD Call Report Includes 4 Medical Calls

September 12, 2022 - Over the week of September 4th through 10th, the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department had 3 calls, all of which were of the medical variety.

The first call came in on Monday, in regards to a 15-month-old that had fallen off of a table at a residence on Highway 84 East. 

Thursday had 2 calls, with the first coming in at 1:35am for an unresponsive 21-year-old female on Southern Avenue. The other call came in at 6:28pm for a man in distress and laying in his yard on County Road 3315.
