Shelbyville I.S.D. Accepting Student Transfers

April 25, 2022 - Parents of students living outside the Shelbyville Independent School District who wish their children to attend Shelbyville Schools during the 2022-2023 school year must request transfer no later than June 1, 2022. This applies to both old and new transfer students. New transfers who are approved will be required to pay tuition to attend.

To request paperwork, please call the Superintendent’s Office at 936-598-2641 or request paperwork by emailing debbieg@shelbyville.k12.tx.us

April 20, 2022 - Shelbyville High School Regional Track Qualifiers. The  Regional Track Meet will be held  April 29-30 at Palestine High School.

Shelbyville Project Graduation Car Wash Fundraiser at Joe's Car Spa

Joe’s Car Spa in Center will be donating $5 per car to Shelbyville High School Project Graduation for every car that goes through their automatic car wash on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Shelbyville Dragons One Act Play Advances to Area Competition

March 28, 2022 - The Shelbyville Dragon One Act Play Cast advances to Area Competition to be held at Union Grove High School Saturday, April 2. The company will perform scenes from Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" at 3:00pm.

Awards earned at the March 22nd Bi-District competition include: Advancing Play, Honor Crew-Haven Heiman; Honorable Mention All Star Cast - Gracie Leach and Eli Taylor; and All Star Cast - Kara Jones and Kendall Murry.

The group is coached by teacher Claire Windham.

Shelbyville HS District 23AA Academic UIL Champion

March 28, 2022 - Shelbyville High School competed at the District 23AA University Interscholastic League (UIL) Academic Spring Meet held on March 23 and 26. Shelbyville competitors scored points in 21 academic events, qualified 25 students for the Region III-AA Academic UIL Meet, scored over 600 total points and captured the District Championship.

Shelbyville Debate Students Compete in Austin

March 22, 2022 - On March 14-15, Shelbyville students Eli Taylor, Hallie Merriman, Aubree Camp, and Ava Silva competed in the U.I.L. cross examination debate state tournament in Austin, TX. Ava Silva was awarded the 3rd highest speaker award in the state on the first day of competition and Ava and Aubree finished 3rd overall in the state on day two. In cross examination debate, students and coaches research and present solutions to real world policy issues.
