Huxley Helping Hands Drive Thru Food Pantry

July 9, 2020 - Huxley Helping Hands will have a Drive Thru Food Pantry, Saturday, July 11 at 9am at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Center, TX. Please park in the order you arrive. One box per household and Identification is required. There will be a devotional at 9am in the parking lot.

UIL Hosting Virtual Awards Presentation for Shelbyville Dragons Boys' Basketball 2020 State Championship Season

June 9, 2020 - On Thursday, June 11th, at 11:00 a.m., the University Scholastic League will host a virtual awards presentation to honor Shelbyville High School’s 2020 Boys State Basketball Championship season. The online Zoom presentation will honor the Shelbyville Dragon coaches, players, and school for their fourth Boys State Basketball State Championship in school history. Mario Osby, Shelbyville High School Principal, will be the Dragon’s featured speaker.

Shelbyville Dragon Summer Strength and Conditioning

June 4, 2020 - Summer strength and conditioning will begin June 8 and run through July 24, 2020.

Work out is from 9am till 11am; Monday through Thursday from June 8 through July 2.

No camp the week of July 5 to July 12.

Camp will resume Wednesday, July 22, and Thursday, July 23.

No camp, but facilities are open the week of July 27 to July 30.

Shelbyville I.S.D. Accepting Student Transfers

April 21, 2020 - Parents of students living outside the Shelbyville Independent School District who wish their children to attend Shelbyville Schools during the 2020-2021 school year must request transfer no later than June 1, 2020. This applies to both old and new transfer students. New transfers who are approved will be required to pay tuition to attend.

Shelbyville ISD Dragon Band selects Twirlers, Drill Team Members 2020-2021

March 12, 2020 - The Shelbyville High School Band selected three Twirlers and 13 Drill Team Members for the 2020-2021 school year.

The Twirling Line will consist of Avery Faulkner, Head Twirler Tanya Santana, and Clare Yu.

The Drill Team Members are Co-Captain Kiana Bennett, Aubree Camp, Kathy Luna, Hallie Merriman, Kendall Murray, Dinaova Rose, Abby Shofner, Ava Silva, Neena Smith, Neera Smith, Jakalia Swindle, Co-Captain Maisey Swindle, and Izzy Youngblood.

Logan Williams Wins District Animal Science Sr. Prepared Public Speaking Contest

March 3, 2020 - Logan Williams, a Junior at Shelbyville High School, won the district Animal Science Senior Prepared Public Speaking contest and will advance to area. He also made the district officer team and is the Pineywoods District Secretary! We are Dragon Proud!
