September 10, 2019 - A time honored tradition continues at Tenaha Independent School District. Tenaha ISD recognizes those that have displayed outstanding dedication and commitment to their community. Through the years numerous members have been initiated into the Hall of Honor.
The process begins with nominations from members of the community. A committee then begins the difficult task of deciding who will be chosen. This year Tenaha ISD is proud to present Robert Barton and Mike Ogden as the 2019 Hall of Honor inductees.
September 6, 2019 - The 66th Annual Homecoming for Tenaha ISD is set for Saturday, October 5th! Honor Classes this year include 2009, 1999, 1989, 1979, 1969, 1959, 1949, and 1939. The Hall of Honor induction ceremonies will kick off the day’s activities at 9:30am in the Tenaha High School cafetorium. This year’s parade will begin at 12:30pm. The 2019 Senior Class will host their annual lunch fundraiser beginning at 11:30 in downtown Tenaha.
September 5, 2019 - Tenaha ISD students have begun the new school year with new faces in the classroom. There are eight new additions to the teaching staff at Tenaha ISD. Tenaha ISD takes pride in providing the best education possible and is excited to welcome new teachers to the Tenaha ISD family. The staff and students are looking forward to another stellar year.
July 25, 2019 - At the regular July meeting of the TISD Board of Trustees, the TISD Administration presented proposed changes to the student handbook. Many of the changes were rooted in language, however, parents and students need to take note of a couple of subtle adjustments to the dress code.

June 3, 2019 - Each year teachers, community members, and staff gather to celebrate the achievements of those individuals that have had a positive impact on the lives of our students and inspire young individuals to achieve the impossible. Each award presented is named after an individual that has had a profound positive impact on others. This year’s Teacher Awards & Appreciation Luncheon was held on May 31st in the Tenaha High School Cafetorium.
June 3, 2019 - The 2018-2019 Middle School Awards Program was held May 29th. Mrs. Linda Jacobs Worrell, Principal, and Mrs. Brenda Farmer, Assistant Principal, recognized Tenaha Middle School students for their accomplishments this school year.
