July 23, 2015 - Ashley McGhen and her husband, Charles, recently moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming from Texas. After their move they visited Lyons Park in Cheyenne where the Cost of Freedom Traveling Memorial was setup on Saturday, June 27th.

The traveling memorial is a tribute to Vietnam veterans as well as other war veterans. The couple found the name of Army Spc. Cory Bertrand, from Center, Texas, on the memorial and took a photo to share.

July 21, 2015 - The July meeting was held this past Saturday, July 18th with a monthly Challenge of "The Color Blue". Members submitted photos for judging with the color blue as priority. Visitors are welcome to attend our meetings with or without a member. The next meeting will be August 15th.

July 21, 2015 - The Golden Harvest Ministries Club held their regular monthly meeting on July 20, 2015 in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church . Joe Anderson called on Danny Brown to lead the opening prayer. Mr. Anderson welcomed the visitors who were Susan and Alayna Scull, Hannah Menefee, Adison Brown and Isaac De Wolf. Alice West read a story about two people in their 90’s who found a pharmacy that met all their needs so they were going to use it for a registry for their wedding!

July 14, 2015 - Twenty-one members of the Delta Gamma Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met Monday, July 13 for a summer workshop in the Paxton home of President Fannie Watson. Members enjoyed a luncheon and made plans for programs, projects, and meeting places for the coming year. Committees also met and discussed upcoming plans for 2015-16. The Delta Gamma Chapter serves key women educators in Sabine, San Augustine, and Shelby Counties.
