USDA Reminds Farmers, Ranchers to Vote in County Committee Election

December 4, 2023 is the Last Day to Return Ballots

November 15, 2023 — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has started mailing ballots for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committee elections to eligible farmers and ranchers across the country. To be counted, ballots must be returned to the Angelina-Nacogdoches-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby County FSA office or postmarked by Dec. 4, 2023.

The painting, "Salvator Mundi," is a portrait of Christ by Leonardo da Vinci. The buyer was the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, who, the next year, was accused of ordering the assassination of a reporter from The Washington Post newspaper. So now, this rich Muslim murderer owns "The Savior of the World."

John Price Announces Candidacy for Shelby County Attorney

November 14, 2023 - About a year and a half ago now, several people who I respect came to me and asked me to accept the appointment to the office of Shelby County Attorney. As many of you know, I have been a civil litigator here for over 50 years. In those years there isn't much in a courtroom I haven't done or seen, with the exception of standing up and announcing, "Ready" for the State of Texas. I have now had that experience as well as the experience of attending commissioner's court every week. What I have found is that representing the people is extraordinarily rewarding.

November 14, 2023 - Over the last 25 years, more than 15,300 Texas Master Naturalist volunteers have made their mark by dedicating their time to helping protect and conserve the state’s natural resources.

Their impact spans across more than 256,000 acres of Texas’ landscapes from the lush tidal marshes of the Gulf Coast to the arid vistas of the Trans Pecos.
