Joaquin HS Students Who Make a Difference Honored

May 8, 2015 - Thursday night, May 7, 2015 was a most memorable evening as Texas State Bank honored several Joaquin High School graduating seniors. The event was held in the Windham Civic Center. Mr. Gerald Mackey, Vice President of TSB welcomed the students, parents and chosen teachers.

A most delicious steak dinner was served. Following dinner, each student spoke of how their chosen teacher had made a difference in their life. Next, each teacher explained why the seven seniors were chosen.

2A Region 3 - Regional Quarterfinal Playoff Series
1st Game - Thursday, 05/14 at 6:00 pm
2nd Game - Friday, 05/15 at 6:00 pm
3rd Game if necessary - Saturday, 05/16 at 2:00 pm
All games will be held at Tatum High School

Joaquin Students Participate in Leukemia/Lymphoma Program

April 28, 2015 - Joaquin Elementary School and Joaquin Jr. High School students recently participated in the Leukemia/Lymphoma Program PASTA FOR PENNIES. The elementary students collected $2,230.41 and the junior high students $549.71 for a grand total of $2,780.12. This money will help find a cure for blood cancers and help families with their expenses. Mrs. Rondalyn Neal's second grade class had the highest total collected at the elementary school of $296.05. The eighth grade students collected the most at the junior high with $206.68.

Joaquin Tennis Teams Win District

April 9, 2015 - Joaquin took the overall team District Champions in both Boys and Girls . The first and second place finishers in each division advance to regionals in Corsicana April 20th and 21st.

Girls' Doubles - Daylana Daw / Maci McDaniel, Joaquin (1st place); Jaz Atkins / Jacy Williams, Joaquin (2nd place)
