May12, 2026 - A Low Cost Spay/Neuter and Pet Wellness Clinic is held in Center every fourth Saturday from 10-3p. The next clinics in Center will take place Saturday, May 23 and Saturday, June 27 at Goodwill Shopping Center in Center, Texas located at 1155 Tenaha Street. We offer dog/cat vaccines, heartworm tests/prevention, flea/tick prevention, microchips, and nail trims.

April 20, 2026 - On April 16, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Choice public water system, 2100005 to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
April 7, 2026 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is retracting the public health alert issued on April 1, 2026, for Walmart Great Value Fully Cooked Dino Shaped Chicken Breast Nuggets with “Best If Used By” date “Feb 10 2027” produced by Dorada Foods after confirming that the product does not pose a public health concern.
April 3, 2026 - On March 31, 2026 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Flat Fork Water Supply public water system, TX2100007 to issue a Boil Water Notice for CR 4356, CR 4360, CR 3770, CR 3774, PR 106, and all customers on Hwy 96 North of CR 4356 to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

March 20, 2026 - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the East Lamar public water system, 2100006, to issue a Boil Water Notice on March 17, 2026, to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
March 16, 2026 - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Paxton public water system, 2100012, to issue a Boil Water Notice on March 10, 2026, to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
