Paxton Public Water System Rescinds Jan. 28 Boil Water Notice

February 6, 2026 - On January 28, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Paxton public water system, 2100012, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Jackson Public Water System Rescinds Boil Water Notice

February 6, 2026 - On January 28, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Jackson public water system, 2100031, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

City of Tenaha Rescinds Jan. 29 Boil Water Notice

February 6, 2026 - On January 28, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Tenaha public water system, No. 2100002, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that clue to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

SA Rural Water System Rescinds Jan. 28 Boil Water Notice

February 3, 2026 - The water on San Augustine Rural WSC no longer requires boiling.

On January 28, 2026 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the San Augustine Rural Public Water System, #2030007, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Princess Ball Weather Update

January 24, 2026 - The Princess Ball 1-pm ball for today will go forward as scheduled and the 5-7pm ball has been reschedule to Tuesday, January 27th.

Tickets for either ball can be used on either day.

County Accepting Sealed Bids for Portable Building (Pd. Adv.)

January 23, 2026 - Shelby County Precinct 4 is accepting sealed bids for one (1) 12' x 24' portable building equipped with window air conditioning and heat.

The building may be inspected at the Precinct 4 County Barn, located at 13321 State Highway 87 N, Timpson, Texas, between the hours of 6:30am and 3pm. For after‑hours viewing, contact Mr. Bellmyer at (936) 254‑4571.

The buyer will be responsible for all costs and arrangements associated with moving the building.

January 22, 2026 - On January 15, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Choice public water system, 2100005 to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
