March 29, 2021 - Shelbyville High School competed at the District 23AA University Interscholastic League (UIL) Academic Spring Meet held at SFA on March 24th. Shelbyville competitors scored points in twenty academic events, qualified thirty students for the Region III-AA Academic UIL Meet, scored 700 total points and captured the District Championship.

March 25, 2021 - On Thursday morning, March 25, 2021, Shelbyville High School's Brooke Elliott signed a college letter of intent to attend Cisco College on a basketball scholarship.
March 18, 2021 - Shelbyville High School’s One Act Play competed at Panola College in district competition on March 2nd.

March 18, 2021 - High school students in Shelbyville ISD will compete for top honors during the 2021 District 23AA UIL Academic Spring Meet to be held on March 24th at SFASU. The UIL Academic District Meets bring students together to compete in over 23 college level academic contests that cover every aspect of classroom curriculum. These students meet rigorous scholastic requirements in order to voluntarily compete in UIL academics. Contestants compete for individual honors while schools compete for the district championship.
February 26, 2021 - Shelbyville ISD had five football players make the list and receive athletic recognition for the 2020-2021 football season. Four made the Padilla Poll Coaches All State Team and one received honorable mention on the Texas Sports Writers Association 2020 Team.
