December 11, 2018 - The Shelbyville Dragons finished in 3rd Place at the Hardin Jefferson Tournament. The Dragons went 5-1 in the tournament and Jakevion Buckley received All Tourney Honors. We are Dragon Proud!!
December 12, 2018 - S. W. Carter Elementary School students competed in the District 22AA South Zone Elementary School Academic UIL Meet held at Shelbyville on December 4th and 6th.
“Students, sponsors, administrators and parents are to be commended for the commitment required by academic competition,” said Lisa Parker, UIL Assistant Director. “Experience gained through extracurricular activities is far more valuable than medals or trophies.”
December 10, 2018 - The ATSSB (Association of Texas Small School Bands) Middle School and High School All-Region band auditions were held on December 7th and 8th. The following students earned a chair/alternate in the region band:

November 16, 2018 - On November 15, Jayvion Barnes, Gaylon Harrison, Eddie Turk, and Ava Silva traveled to Kilgore to compete in the Region 7 Gifted and Talented Innovation Invention Fair.
November 16, 2018 - On November 13, Shelbyville students, Hagan Crumpton, Zack Clark, Emily Brixey, and Dawson Jackson traveled to Stephen F. Austin State University to compete in the UIL regional contest for Congressional Debate.
November 15, 2018 - Shelbyville students on all campus' recently held a food drive. They collected a total 2,426 pounds of non-perishable food items to be donated to Shelby County Outreach Ministries. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
