August 9, 2024 - Shelbyville Retiree Athletic Passes
Shelbyville I.S.D. is pleased to announce that all Shelbyville I.S.D. retirees will be admitted free of charge to home athletic events for the 2024-2025 school year by presenting a special pass. If you are a Shelbyville I.S.D. retiree and do not receive a pass by mail, please come by the administration office or call 598-2641.
August 8, 2024 - Shelbyville Independent School District offers career and technical education programs in family and consumer science, agricultural science, business education, and multi-occupational training. Admission to these programs is based on interest and aptitude, age appropriateness, and class space available.
August 1, 2024 (Española abajo) - The Shelbyville ISD announced today it will continue its policy to operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2024-24 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This new approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.
June 5, 2024 - Shelbyville ISD's S.W. Carter presented end of year awards for 2023-2024 which included Perfect Attendance, "S" Awards, Principal's Awards, President’s Education Awards Academic Excellence, Academic Achievement, and the S. W. Carter Award.
June 5, 2024 - S.W. Carter Elementary announces the students who achieved a grade point average of 80 and above for the 'A/B' Honor Roll and students who achieved a grade point average of 90 and above for the all 'A' Honor Roll for the 6th-Six Weeks of the 2023-2024 school year.
May 30, 2024 - A group of avid Shelbyville Dragon Baseball fans gathered on the Center square for a sendoff May 30, 2024 as the baseball team was en-route to face Centerville at Bullard High School for Regional finals.
May 29, 2024 - In accordance with 34 CFR 300.573 Destruction of Information, Shelbyville ISD Special Services will destroy the special education records of students whose last date of service was prior to 2018. This destruction of records will take place on or after August 1, 2024.
