November 4, 2025 - Shelbyville Speech and Debate students Irianna Herrera, Zeke Derr, Gaylon Harrison, Maddie Lout, Kennedy McArthur, and Travis Caporali attended the Region 7 AA Congress Tournament held in Athens on November 3, 2025.
October 20, 2025 - This past weekend, five fine marching bands from Shelby County proudly represented our schools at the University Interscholastic League Region 21 Marching Band Contest in Longview, Texas. Each band brought their energy, discipline, and hard-earned preparation to the field.
October 1, 2025 - S.W. Carter Elementary announces the students who achieved All "A" and All "A/B" grades to make the Honor Roll for the 1st Six Weeks of the school year 2025-2026.

September 26, 2025, has been designated as Shelbyville ISD’s Lone Star Cup Day. The UIL Lone Star Cup is awarded annually to six high schools, one in each of the six UIL classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A), based on their team performance in district and state championships. The winning school in each classification receives the UIL Lone Star Cup trophy and a $1,000 scholarship. Since its inception in 1998, less than 5% of all high schools in the state of Texas have managed to ever win the Lone Star Cup.
September 18, 2025 - 2021 Shelbyville High School graduate Kathy Luna has graduated Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology, Radiologic Technology, Cum Laude from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, in August 2025.
Midwestern State University had 183 undergraduate and graduate students in August 2025 with the provision that they meet all requirements as prescribed by the faculty and administration. Honor graduates receiving bachelor degrees included 25 summa cum laude, 18 magna cum laude, and 18 cum laude.
