February 27, 2024 - Good Morning! It's Tuesday, February 27.

On February 27, 1968, America heard a voice, a powerful voice, a voice that we could trust. Walter Cronkite, on his nightly news broadcast, said these words about the Vietnam War.

"It is increasingly clear to this reporter that the only rational way out of this war is to negotiate, not as victors, but as an honorable people who lived up to their pledge to defend democracy, and did the best they could."

One of the regular features of our Sunday morning worship service here at First Baptist Center is the Children's Sermon. David's Daily Devotion for February 15

February 15, 2024 - Good Morning! It's Thursday, February 15.

On this date, in 1564, a baby boy was born in Pisa, Italy. His name was Galileo Galilei. He would grow up to be perhaps the greatest scientific figure in history. Albert Einstein called him the "Father of Modern Science." Galileo laid foundations in mathematics, physics, engineering, and the scientific method. But, perhaps, he is most remembered for his groundbreaking discoveries in the field of astronomy. When NASA prepared a spacecraft to explore the planets, they named it "Galileo."
